Interactive 2D & 3D High-Resolution Snowfall Forecasts.
Snowly.eu is a web application I built together with Giorgos Kyros to make high-resolution snowfall forecasts across Europe easier to explore and understand.
The platform processes forecasts from major Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models, including ICON-EU, IFS, GFS and GEM, and downscales them to a spatial resolution of 400 m over Greece and 2.5 km across the rest of Europe.
Forecasts are presented through interactive 2D maps and 3D visualisations, making it easier to see how snowfall varies across different regions and how local terrain influences the forecast.
