Abstract Accepted to EGU General Assembly 2026 Feb 2026

I am happy to share that our collaborative work with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Burning Lowlands: A Serious Game to Evaluate Citizen Learning, Communication, and Decision-Making in Climate Adaptation, has been accepted for presentation at the EGU General Assembly 2026. InfoCIR accepted to IEEE PacificVis 2026 Jan 2026

Excited to announce that our paper, InfoCIR: Multimedia Analysis for Composed Image Retrieval, has been accepted for publication at the conference proceedings of IEEE PacificVis 2026. You can read the preprint on arXiv. I will present this work in Sydney on 22nd April. See you in Sydney! 🇦🇺

Starting my thesis at UvA in collaboration with EUMETSAT Jan 2026

I am thrilled to announce the start of my Master's Thesis project at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), working in collaboration with EUMETSAT. My research will focus on ML-Based Feature Detection on GEO-Ring Satellite Data.

Official Launch of snowly.eu Dec 2025

Together with Giorgos Kyros, we have officially launched snowly.eu! It is a web application providing interactive 2D and 3D snowfall forecast maps for Europe, based on downscaled NWP models at an ultra-high 400m spatial resolution. Go check it out!

Starting my internship at EUMETSAT Aug 2025

I am thrilled to join the Digital Solutions and SAF Division at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. Over the coming months, I will be exploring data management concepts in support of establishing AI factories in the context of Destination Earth, applying Vision Transformers (ViTs) and CNNs to MTG and OPERA remote sensing data. I'll also be building cloud-native ML workflows on the DestinE S3 Data Lake and scaling model training across mult-node HPC environments.

Starting my MSc in Artificial Intelligence Sep 2024

I am excited to share that I have officially started my Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). I am looking forward to diving deeper into advanced machine learning architectures over the next two years!
